Stafford Beer

British theorist, consultant and professor at Manchester Business School. He is known for his work in the areas of business research and government management.

A manuscript of Stafford Beer related to his advisory role for Allende’s government. In 1970, S. Beer was employed by Salvador Allende, the socialist President of Chile, to develop a control computing system for Chile’s economic management. That project lasted for three years until the overthrow of Allende’s government by the junta, in 1973.
