Abstract

The article captures the tension between two worlds: the world of systemic accompaniment in crisis, which chooses to be present and co-create from a position of curiosity and uncertainty and the world of the early psychiatric intervention, which demands to intervene in advance to avert the worst, supposedly knowing beforehand. On the one hand, the political choice to stand by the person without taking away their voice, respecting their self-determination and considering their context. On the other hand, the need to repair an alleged damage, disregarding consent and any specific characteristics. The cold and invisible war we are living on the psychotic borders of human experience is between care models – between the empowering encounter toward emancipatory and creative redefinition and psychoeducational surveillance under the spell of violent symptom suppression.
