All these years, he has been invited to give many speeches in various regions of Central Macedonia with the aim of promoting the work and philosophy of the Therapeutics Communities, while he has represented K.E.T.H.E.A. with his suggestions-researches in European conferences (E.V.O.D.O.R. – Rome, EFTA – Naples). In 2016, he planned and implemented training in the therapeutic community model for the Varna (Bulgaria) rehabilitation centre program workers. Since this year, he has been working privately.

He lives in Thessaloniki with his wife and their two children.

Abstract

Two persons, mental health "experts", are talking, one choosing the role of father and the other of the systemic inquirer, and they undertake to tell us through a highly personal journey and a particularly moving dialogue, by wandering in the special space of the unexpected, the unpredictable, the certification of the different, the social identity of the person with special needs that puts you on the social margin and pushes you into a world dominated by the NOT, the MUST, silence, and social exclusion.

What happens really, when the unexpected suddenly invades our lives? What disruption does the unpredictable bring? To what paths of conformity or even resistance-silent revolution does it lead us? And finally, all of us wearing our "labels" of the healthy and the unhealthy, where and how do we meet in the societies of control and social exclusion that we live in? Can being different be seen as a form of reaction to the established order of things? A silent "non-violent" resistance against the roadblock of social conformism, conformity, blind faith in institutions and the allure of power?

The video was presented at the SEVE Conference (November 30 and December 1, 2024) in Thessaloniki.
