Abstract
In this video presented at the two-day conference of the Systemic Society of Northern Greece (2023), I critically examine postmodern gender theory. I argue that the claim that gender is a mere social construct cuts off gender from its material basis and leads to a complete relativisation of gender identities. I attempt to deconstruct postmodern claims and briefly examine some implications of the relativisation of gender identity in psychotherapy.
