Ιlias Gotsis
Ilias Gotsis is sociologist and family systemic therapist, head of the Department of Education and Human Resources Development of OKANA.
He has been involved in the field of addictions since 1991, when he worked as a volunteer in the Addiction Unit “18 ANO”.
Since 1995 he has been working at Organization Against Drugs (OKANA), initially in the field of prevention (until 1999) and after that as scientific manager at ATRAPOS-OKANA Adolescent Unit (until 2015). Since then he has been the scientific director of OKANA’s Department of Education focusing on the design and implementation of training programs for mental health professionals and social scientists in the field of the prevention of psycho-social health and addiction treatment.
He has been trained (1996-2010) in family therapy, narrative practices and Systemic Appreciative Inquiry.
He has been particularly concerned with the reflection, interactive and polyphonic approach and has presented field applications in conferences and scientific meetings. He has authored and published articles on the polyphonic approach and Systemic Appreciative Inquiry.
As Scientific Director at OKANA’s Department of Education has been a key trainer and supervisor of professionals in the field of family therapy, supervision, means of expression and Systemic Appreciative Inquiry.
In the spring 2018 his first book was published, an experiential psychological novel entitled A Little Unknown Sadness, the second one was published in November 2019 and was entitled Grammar of Resources, and the third one was published in June 2020 and was entitled DREAMLAND: Narratives about resilience, in difficult times. ARMOS PUBLICATIONS published all of them.
He is the scientific director of SINIHISEIS, a Dialogic Institute of Experiential-Appreciative Psychotherapy, Counseling and Education, Greece.

Anna Kiapoka
Psychologist – Social Worker and Family Appreciative Systemic Psychotherapist.
MSc in "Educational Technology and Human Resources Development" (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of West Attica).
Training in Family Therapy and Team Process at the Athenian Institute of Anthropos (AKMA).
Member of the Hellenic Association for Systemic Therapy (ΗELΑSYTH).
Member of the Association of Social Workers of Greece.
Member of the Society of Preventive Psychiatry.
She has worked as a social worker in Zografou Municipality in the “Social Welfare” Program. From 2001 to 2003, she worked for the Greek Council of Refugees (GCR), initially at the Day Center and the Hostel for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Refugees, within the framework of the Pilot Program “IOLAOS”. There she worked as an individual and group therapist, and organized, coordinated and implemented psychoeducational programs for the development of psychosocial skills for the patients. She was also in charge of organizing a volunteer network and training volunteers on mental health. At the same time she was involved in coordinating, organizing and implementing actions in the Community. Subsequently, she worked in the Accompanying Support Services’ program (SYY) “New Beginning”, mainly as professional counselor.
From 2004 until today, she has been working at Organization Against Drugs (OKANA) as a therapist and social worker, focusing on individual, family and group counseling, parent group coordination and couple counseling. She also has been coordinating a creative workshop and supervised students of Social Work and volunteer in mental health. Since 2017, she is an Executive of OKANA’s Department of Education and Human Resources Development, in charge of the planning, organization, coordination and implementation of training activities. She participates in the Training Team of Systemic Synthetic Model of Appreciative Inquiry (SSMAI), which has designed and implemented a variety of workshops and educational activities.
Member of the writing team of the Handbook for the Systemic Synthetic Model of Appreciative Inquiry (SSMAI), as well as the textbooks "The school I dream of" and "The school of inclusion", which have been published by the OKANA. Project team coordinator and member of the writing team of the OKANA Handbook "Networking and Awareness Interventions of the Prevention Centers with the Local Services of the Greek Police Departments".
From 2017 to 2019, she was Deputy Head of the Office of Support and Information for the Social and Solidarity Economy (KALO) of OKANA.
She has participated in numerous scientific conferences with several presentations and experiential workshops.
She is a co-athour of papers about the SSMAI & has written articles on inclusion, as well as the experience of the parental role of substance dependent mothers.
Her scientific interests focus on the utilization of Systemic methodology and epistemology for the individual, the team and the family, but also for wider systems. Postmodern systemic approaches, social construction, collaborative, interactive, polyphonic and narrative approaches and the Systemic Appreciative Inquiry. Also, inclusion at all levels, working with the community, prevention of addictions and the promotion of psychosocial health, as well as strengthening children’s identity through implementation of Systemic Appreciative Inquiry practices in the school community. Finally, ethics and how socio-economic and cultural factors affect the experience and functioning of partnerships and parent-child relationships.
