Abstract

The present article describes the conceptions which have dominated the field of addiction in Greece. At the same time an attempt is made to introduce new perspectives through examples of reconsideration of therapeutic practices and policies. Particular emphasis is given on the approach of ‘acceptance’, which is within the theoretical context of the systemic approach.
