Abstract

The notions of Good and Bad are discussed as a binary, determined by subjects' positioning in discourse and therapeutic interaction. Drawing on a clinical case of therapy with a cultural Other, we attempt a brief review of systemic theories and therapeutic practices vis-a-vis the use and/or deconstruction of the Good/Bad binary in therapy. We propose the utilization of theory of “intersectionality” and the therapeutic “accountability” practices.
