Katerina Polychroni
Katerina Polychroni is a Social Anthropologist with an MA in Gender Studies. She is trained in the Systemic Psychotherapy at the Athenian institute of Anthropos (AIA).
Her expertise is on issues of migration, community building and social integration. She has been working with refugees since 2008 developing creative alternative teaching group methods aimed at self-development and empowerment. Being fluent in Farsi Dari, English and French, she has worked in all 13 refugee camps of Attica as a UNHCR professional in the field. She left her position to devote to ‘bottom-up’ social integration and, in 2017, Co-founded the Community Centre “KYCLOS”. Katerina works holistically on personal development, counselling and therapy with children, young adults and families.

Kostas Papachristopoulos
Kostas Papachristopoulos, Athenian Institute of Anthropos Associate, holds a PhD in Work-Organizational Psychology. He is a systemic psychotherapist and researcher in themes such as rewards and creativity, motivation, and systemic thinking in organizations.

Abstract
Katerina Polychroni, Social Anthropologist (MA) with specialization in Systemic Psychotherapy, discusses with Kostas Papachristopoulos on “Kyclos”, a Community Centre where refugees, migrants and Greek citizens co-exist regardless of gender and age. The Centre’s vision is to promote social mutual support and integration through a holistic approach to personal and professional development. She refers to her experience as a contributor to international humanitarian aid projects and expresses her concerns of the challenges these organizations have in adopting a broader perspective. Katerina shares in a touching manner, her origins from Petros Polychronis, her family and her training in relation to her epistemological viewpoint and practice at Kyclos.
