Abstract

This article elaborates on a field opening up for the client in the context of group systemic therapy. It concerns the processing of the existence and presence of the “small inner child’’ inside the client, not only at the level of connections through awareness or connections through emotional charge but at the level of new on focus concerns, re-experienced from scratch emotions of the child back then, emotions that had to be suppressed in the past, as Miller (2010) states, while currently they emerge and overwhelm him, at times even conquer them. Having as a starting point the Synthetic Model of Systemic Therapy (SYMOSYTH), (Katakis, 2018; Katakis 1990a), I present this therapeutic practice connecting it with relevant theoretical concepts, describing it briefly. The article concludes with a reference to the attitude of the therapists and the techniques that they might utilize for the promotion of the particular therapeutic process.
