Humberto Maturana

Chilean biologist and philosopher. Member of a group of theorists of the second Cybernetics. Maturana, along with Francisco Varela and Ricardo B. Uribe, are best known for creating the term "self-realization" for the self-generating, self-sustaining structure of living systems and concepts such as structural determinism and the connection of structures.

Austrian-American scientist who combines physics and philosophy, and is widely regarded as the creator of the second class of Cybernetics.
