Abstract

In the current paper, the discussion focuses on the topic of diagnosing while looking through different lenses, such as the dominant diagnostic classification systems in contrast to alternative diagnostic procedures, like the constructivist point of view, considering at the same time the historical developments in the field of psychiatry, as well as the decisive influence of the socio-politic context in terms of shaping diagnostic criteria and entities.
