Abstract

Irony is a description and in order to describe something, you need to distance yourself a little bit. Irony is a practice, and could be a clinical practice.

In this essay, I will try to describe the therapeutic practice of Gianfranco Cecchin, a genial inventor of ironies. In some ways we could say that, with Cecchin, irony coincided with his ongoing therapeutic conversation.
