Abstract

A video inspired by the Workshop given at the Two-Day Conference of The Systemic Society of Northern Greece, Thessaloniki, 2013.

During this Workshop I will present a short research, using interviews with professionals in Social Psychiatry Services (and trainees in Systemic Therapy at the Systemic Institute of Thessaloniki).

In this research I have applied, in a paradigmatic way, the critical social science criteria according to Foucault’s ideas.

We are going to work on the meaning of the medical explanatory model, as far as the identity and the action possibilities of mental health professionals is concerned. Also we will discuss critically the empowerment approach in relation to social psychiatry.

Video and Text only in Greek.
